Advantage Nurseline

Advantage Nurseline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide health advice and information. The Nurseline is staffed by Registered Nurses who have an average of 19 years experience.

If the call is identified as a potential emergency, it is immediately routed to an available RN. Otherwise, the call is added to the RN callback queue. The RN will select the appropriate Clinical Content to be used in assessing the patient's medical needs:

• Life-threatening emergency: Direct the patient to the nearest emergency facility.
• Urgent but not life-threatening: Determine whether the patient should contact physician.
• Patient seeking general health information: Answer questions and provide pertinent information.
